Katie Loves Dave

Now that they're together, Dave and Katie realize that they were at a lot of the same parties and get-togethers over the years and somehow always managed to miss meeting each other. Katie had even been to Dave's house a few times with friends and they still hadn't met! Finally fate caught up with them in the summer of 2010 when a group was formed to float down the Chippewa River in Mt Pleasant and they were both invited. Over that summer they formed friendship that grew into a little something more, and that something more turned into love <3

 

What he thought of her:

One of the most interesting things Katie and I find about our relationship is how it developed.  The first time we met was floating down the river because we were both invited by mutual friends.  I remember she was wearing a red bikini with purple polka dots and a pair of sunglasses.  I thought she was adorable but she seemed too smart for me which she thinks is funny apparently.  I would have never thought though that it would have blossomed into what it is today!  

 

What she thought of him:

The first time I saw Dave is when he got out of his ice blue Buick LeSabre and he was wearing a green basketball shirt and swim trunks and I thought he was so, so good looking. I couldn't help but be excited that such a hottie was going to be floating down the Chip with us that day (hehe).  I was so impressed with him when our group came across logs that were blocking off the river and Dave got out of his tube to lift every girl across, one by one. I thought, "cute and a nice guy- wow", but for some reason it took us all summer to get together after that!
